About Us

The Sherman County Historical Society formed in the summer of 1945 in the local park with 386 people signing the guestbook. Officers were elected and 38 years later in 1983 the society was deeded the Chris Schultz Post #71 building in Moro, Oregon to be the Sherman County Historical Museum. The conditions that were agreed upon were that the society had the museum reserve a place to record and display military history and patriotism of the Sherman County residents of past and present.
